A management skills course for pharmacy students
In the journal club meeting, an article about management skills as training courses for students was reviewed. These courses was based on a 5-step social learning theory model that included 1) Skill Assessment 2) Skill Learning 3) Skill Analysis 4) Skill practice and 5) Skill application. Subsequent results of the evaluations after these courses based on instructor assessment and student feedback, showed that student management ability in various fields such as pharmacy management, patient interaction and individual control was enhanced significantly and the course appeared to succeed in at least making students cognizant of the need for management skills and how they could develop and improve their skills. Therefore, planning and implementation of such targeted training courses could promote the social aspects of students, in addition to the educational aspect.
